TEACHING & LEARNING

BETT is billed as the world’s
largest education technology event.

It's held each January for four days in London. “BETT (British Education and Training Technology) brings together the global teaching and learning community for four days of innovations and inspirations.” This year, more than 29,000 people attended seminars and shopped among 600 exhibitors.  Admission to the event is free of charge.

A quick scan of the show's highlights instills a strong suspicion that the British are masters of education and enjoy their work. They have also embraced technology to teach students at all levels. That's confirmed by a look at the "shortlist" of finalists for a slew of awards. In particular, "content-free tools" caught our imagination and has us talking.
